We absolutely love the way Polaroid pictures look together; the more the merrier. This DIY Polaroid photo frame is the perfect way to display multiple Polaroid Zink prints, while still giving each its place. If you have just moved into a new home, this is also an inexpensive way to add a unique decoration to your walls or shelves.
Here is what you will need to make your own Polaroid Photo Frame.
- A large picture frame (this one is wood, which made it fairly easy to adhere string to)
- Polaroid Snap Touch instant digital camera (or the Polaroid Zip instant
photoprinterwill work as well)
- 2x3" Zink Polaroid pictures
- String, yarn, or ribbon
- Hot glue gun
- Mini clothespins (you can also use metal photo clips)
The first thing we are going to do is take the frame apart. We only need the front piece of the frame, so remove the glass, the backing, and any other pieces. Another great benefit of using a wood frame is that you have the option to paint it if you would like. We like the look of the natural wood with the white twine so we left it as is, but it is completely up to you!
Next, flip the frame and start laying out pictures with enough distance between each of them to leave room for them to hang. We chose to just eyeball the distances, but you can also measure the length of the frame and mark equal distances for the pictures. Then we are going to lay string across where we have placed our photos.
Next, we marked with a pen on the back of the frame where the string lines up with the photos. In order for our string to hang straight across the frame, we want to make sure to measure the distance of the mark so we can make another on the other side.
Then we glued the string where we have made our marks. The string should be fairly taut so that the photos don't
