Mother's Day is just around the corner and if you're like us, you probably procrastinated getting the perfect gift for Mom. That's why we love this project! What better way to show your love and appreciation than a personalized photo frame?
Here's what you'll need to make the Mother's Day gift your favorite lady will treasure forever.
- Polaroid Mint instant digital pocket printer
- Large letters to spell M-O-M-M-Y (we got ours from a local craft store)
- 2x3" ZINK Polaroid pictures
- Floating wall frame
- Pressed flowers in different colors (optional)
- Blank sheet of paper
We'll be honest. The hardest part about making this frame is getting the kids to take a decent photo holding the large letters. Once you've got that done, the rest of the project is easy-peasy! We used our Polaroid Mint instant digital pocket printer to print out the photos we took on our phone of the kiddos which was so simple to do with the Polaroid Mint app.
Next, we created a grid on a piece of blank paper to help place the photos on the frame evenly. With the floating frame we chose, we could place the sheet of paper underneath the clear frame and use the guide to perfectly place our photos. The sticky-backs of the Polaroid prints made this step a breeze. We simply peeled off the paper from the backs of the photos and stuck them directly to the clear frame.
Lastly, we arranged pressed flowers around the photos to give the frame an extra touch of loveliness. Once we secured the second clear piece on top of the photos and flowers with the hardware included in the floating frame kit, our Mother's Day Photo Frame was complete. If you decide to make this project, you might want to include some tissues—we have a feeling tears of joy will be shed when Mom receives this gift!
