I loved making this because it was a fun and easy way to display photos that we have taken throughout our year.

What you will need:

Additional tools/materials that would be helpful:

  • Glue gun
  • Tape measure/ruler
  • Clamping miter box

First, we started by measuring our wood dowel pieces. Our measurements were as follows: 4 inches, 8 inches, 12 inches, 14 inches, 16 inches. (Feel free to adjust based on how small or large you want your tree).

Next, we cut the sticks and attached the corresponding sides to the larger pieces when necessary.

I cut 14-inch pieces of yarn and individually attached the two sides of the wood dowels to the next level.

Once all of the pieces are attached, start putting on your Polaroid photo ornaments and all additional ornaments to your tree! I found it easiest to attach everything while this was still off of the wall. Attach the top 4-inch piece to the wall with 2 nails.

Finally, string lights around the tree!
